Bruntsfield and Morningside — the boutiques, the Links, Holy Corner and brunch central. It's a weekday‑daytime zone, so evenings and weekends are free.
Bruntsfield & Morningside parking rules
Bruntsfield and Morningside sit in controlled parking Zone S2. During those controlled hours you must either pay at the machine or on the RingGo app, or display a valid Zone S2 residents permit. Like all of Edinburgh's S and peripheral zones, it runs Monday to Friday only and stops at 5:30pm — there's no weekend charging at all. Streets here include Bruntsfield Place, Bruntsfield Gardens, Forbes Road, Jordan Lane, Falcon Avenue, Millar Crescent and Pitsligo Road.
When is parking free in Bruntsfield & Morningside?
- Every weekday after 5:30pm — the bays revert to free.
- All day Saturday and all day Sunday — these zones don't operate at weekends.
Zone S2 runs along the busy Bruntsfield Place and Morningside Road shopping streets, with Bruntsfield Links on the doorstep. Because it's free out of hours, the popular streets fill quickly, so you may need a couple of laps. And free bays never excuse a yellow line — double yellows apply 24/7.
Free parking near Bruntsfield & Morningside
Quieter residential streets off the main road, and further out toward Greenhill and Craiglockhart, can be easier than the shopping stretch. Our free parking guide and the map show exactly where the controlled zone ends.
